Key Information
The Coffs Coast Kia Nyami and Jaanybarr of the Creek is an event in which runners complete the 10km, the 21.1km and finally the 5km event to make a total distance of 36.1km.
Cost: $80 (or $90 for late entries on Saturday 7th September)
Minimum age: 16 years (as at 08/09/2024)
Walkers are not permitted.
Race start: 7:00am sharp (Race briefing: 6:55am)
It is recommended that runners who have not completed a 21.1km distance before do not participate in the 36.1km.
Rules
Due to the narrow paths, runners must complete each distance before the next distance starts.
If the 10km or 21.1km are not completed by the time the next distance start, then runners will be unable to continue .
Leg 1 cut off: Runners must finish the 10km by 08:10am
(1 hour 10mins) in order to start with the 21.1km event.
Leg 2 cut off: Runners must finish the 21.1km by 10:30am
(2 hour 20mins) in order to start with the 5km event.
There is not cut off to complete the 5km.
Runners who finish a distance before the start of the next distance can rest until the start of the next distance.

Saturday 7th September 2024
2:00pm to 4:00pm – race bib collection and late entries at Coffs Harbour Showground
4:30pm – Run Nation Film Festival at Sawtell Cinema
Sunday 8th September 2024
5:45am to 6:50am – race bib collection at Coffs Harbour Showground
7:00am – 10km race start (36.1km leg 1, finish before 08:10)
8:10am – 21.1km race start (36.1km leg 2, finish before 10:30)
10:30am – 5km race start (36.1km leg 3, no cut off)
11:15am – presentation and random draw prizes
The winners will earn the title of Garluunnggi Buluunggal-gundi Jaanybarr (First male of the Creek) and Garluunnggi Buluunggal-gundi Nyami (First female of the Creek) with their names engraved on a perpetual trophies.
All finishers will be listed on the Honour Roll in the results.
Prizes
1st male and female overall: Names on perpetual trophy, engraved glassware, event shirt and hat or sock
2nd & 3rd male and female overall: Engraved glassware and event shirt
Participants will also be eligible for overall and age category placings and prizes for 10km, 21.1km and 5km.
