Southern Cross University 8 Week Training Program

 

Registered to take the challenge and not sure where to start with your training?

Get challenge-ready with a bespoke 8-week training program designed by Southern Cross University running expert Dr Chris Stevens. Dr Stevens is a Senior Lecturer in the University’s Faculty of Health and is one of Australia’s leading researchers in the field having twice been named Exercise & Sports Science Australia’s best young researcher.

To level up your running game, there are three levels of training to choose from:
– Beginner: for those who cannot yet run 30mins continuously
– Intermediate: for those who can run 30mins continuously
– Advanced Program: designed for women who can run 10km in 60mins and men who can run 10km in 50mins

It is recommended Samson Fitness Challenge participants also undertake a strength and conditioning program in addition to this running program to prepare for the event.
